Kailo Fosk is a prospective applicant to Ozharon University, a school dedicated to the education of Arkain: a magical force of nature upon which society is founded. However, due to an array of learning and developmental disabilities, Kailo isn’t qualified for admittance. His father strikes a deal with the university headmaster, believing firmly in Kailo’s inherent ability and natural talent for Arkain.
