Author, Story-teller, creator.

Raised with a background in theatre, music, dance, and the culinary arts, Thomas J.A. Watson has a deep appreciation for the creative process. Of these many ventures, he has found his passion in the art of storytelling. He enjoys a wide variety of narratives, everything from ancient Greek epics and Shakespearean tragedies, to action-oriented comics and manga.

Though he often experiments with different mediums and genres, he finds himself consistently coming back to the realm of fantasy. His fascination with the mystical, arcane, and spiritual nature of reality is often reflected in his writing, and the kinds of characters and worlds produced from those works.

Currently a student of the humanities at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), he works to incorporate many aspects of psychology, philosophy, and theology into his craft. He is inspired not only by history’s many great storytellers, but also by its many erudite thinkers, such as Freud, Nietzsche, and Darwin.

Thomas prioritizes the process of creating a story just as much as the story itself. He regards the craft of writing like any other form of artistic expression, requiring commitment and discipline in order to produce truly meaningful work. For this reason, he is very stringent with scheduling time in order to write. To serve this end, he has founded the Storyteller’s Guild at his university. This community gathers all manner of storytellers together, and aligns them under the collective goal of honing their crafts.

Though he is a neophyte in this world, he has already developed a profound dedication towards it. He hopes to one day share his works around the world, his grand ambition being the creation of an entirely new metanarrative.
